Fundraiser Updates:

 1.  Programs - Advertisements

•                     Kim went through her spreadsheet of businesses indicating whether we had an ad and/or the money.  Most with no money, Kim will send an invoice to that business.  There were some businesses that we needed to follow up with.  Kim will send an e-mail letting everyone know where we are at for sales, etc...

•                     Denise informed everyone that the School District will do our Program layout and printing for about $1.80 a book.  Outstanding: How many do we print?

•                     Jane will contact the School District to see what the turnaround time is for having the programs ready.

•                     Denise asked Tuch how soon basketball pictures can be taken since we want to put some of these pictures in the Program.

•                     Tuch said Varsity tryouts are the week of 11/20.  He will schedule pictures for the last week in November.  Tuch will check with Joe at David Bank studios about getting free pictures to use in the program.

•                     Denise asked Tuch if he could talk to the boys about designing the cover page of the Program.  Tuch agreed.

•                     Denise said we should offer parents an opportunity to write a note to their boys in the program.  Everyone agreed and the cost will be $25.00.  Tuch is planning a parents meeting and Denise thought a booster club representative should be there to inform everyone about the Booster Club and program opportunities, which include a parents note and if anyone owns a business or knows someone that owns a business that would like to place an ad.

•                     Denise asked if we should charge for the programs?  Everyone agreed that we should otherwise they will just get tossed.  Should we charge $1.00 or $2.00.  This was not finalized yet, but, most thought a $1.00.

•                     Jeff asked if we could put the opposing team line-ups in the program?  Tuch said they have the information, so we could.  Decision?

•                     Tuch said we can have autograph night on youth night to increase the program sales.

•                     Jeff mentioned that we should put a sign up that the money raised from the programs helps defray the cost of printing and goes towards the CPHS boys basketball program.

2.  Raffle

•                     Denise asked if we still want to do the raffle?  Everyone said yes.

•                     Denise mentioned the raffle and grand prize to Neal, Pat and Calvin and they thought she meant a big screen TV.  They all liked the TV idea better.  Denise asked if we would like to do the TV for the grand prize?  Everyone agreed on the TV.

•                     Denise asked if we will have the boys go door to door and should they have a minimum amount of raffles to sell?  How are you with that Tuch?  Tuch is okay with this.

•                     Denise said Coach Korton is okay with us setting up at the football games as long as they get half the profit.  Everyone agreed that since the grand prize is a TV now, that we will not be setting up at the football games.

•                     Denise mentioned that all prizes, except the small ones, must be printed on the raffle tickets.   We must get product commitment.  See if we can get a discount, we will put business/logo next to the item or trade for advertising in Program.  Grand Prize will be the TV, Denise will go to Best Buy and Al Hager will go to Circuit City.  1st prize will possibly be a snow blower, Kim will check with Toro since she used to work there.  Nancy will go to Trailhead to see if they will donate a bike.  Jeff will get Timberwolves tickets.  Everyone will provide information by the end of Labor Day weekend so the tickets can be printed the week of Sept. 4, 2006.

•                     Denise said the cost of printing the raffle tickets will be less than $500.00.

•                     All agreed on the Price of the tickets: 4 for $10.00 or 10 for $20.00

•                     Raffle Date will be December 19th.

Outstanding:  Al Dittrich mentioned that we will have to decide who will pay the taxes on the prizes?  Booster Club or the Winners???
