Meeting Minutes
July 12, 2006
Attendance: Denise and Al Dittrich, Jane Hager, Jodi Leabo, Tom Costello and Cindy Nolte
Booster Club Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month with some exceptions for Spring Break and Holidays, from 8:00 - 9:30pm. NOTE: We will be moving the meeting to a new location effective with the August meeting. Will send an e-mail once we know where and when.
Meeting Minutes and Agendas will be posted via a link from the Champlin Park website - Boys Basketball.
Secretary Report: Approved
Treasurer Report: Spreadsheet of deposits, checks, misc. deductions and ending balance was provided to the attendees. Denise walked through the report. For now, all donations will be placed in the Booster Club account.
Updates:
1. Website Status: Ron Reibling has created our website for the Champlin Park High School Boys basketball. This site will be a link via the Champlin Park website under Boys Basketball. Items to put on the website will include: Meeting Agendas, Meeting Minutes, Calendar of events, meet the new Coach article and pictures. Can add a Roster of players with profiles and pictures. E-mail Ron with any other ideas.

2. Address Book: Check with Lori Thompson. Also, check with Tuch to see if he can get a list of all the basketball parents. We would like to get everyones e-mail address.
3. Programs - Advertisements:
Jane received an advertisement from Ford Studio. Ford Studio is interested in a contract for our Program, etc... Denise said we should talk to Tuch and get his input.
Jane has also talked to some businesses in Maple Grove about advertising in our program.
Tom received an advertisement from Champlin Sinclair.
Others are pending.
Denise mentioned that anyone we talk to that owns or manages a business, we should bring up this opportunity.
Denise said we will have sponsor appreciation night. We will provide our sponsors with free tickets to a home game where we will announce their business as our basketball sponsors and encourage fans to support their business. We will also provide the business with a framed picture of the team and a certificate of appreciation.
Denise said the quality of our programs will depend on how many advertisements we get and the cost of printing, etc..
Denise will send an e-mail communication to motivate everyone on getting as many advertisements as we can.
Denise will e-mail everyone regarding a follow up meeting at Mavericks, on Sunday, July 30th at 7:30pm.
Jane will check with Jeff M. to see if can make this meeting.
Al Hager said that Wally McCarthy may donate.
It was decided that we will charge $1 or $2 for the programs. This way people are less likely to throw them away.
Jane got an estimate from Swift Print - 500 books:
$3,200 Swift Print will do everything
$2,200 If we do the lay out
4. Activities: Jeff Munneke will be setting up a meeting soon .
5. Raffle Status:
Grand Prize = ATV
Jane/Al applied for exempt permit.
Raffle Date will be December 19th.
Price: 2 for $10.00 or 5 for $20.00
Al Dittrich mentioned that we will have to decide who will pay the taxes on the prizes? Booster Club or the Winners???
Check with Coach Korton about parking the ATV in school parking lot for home football games.
Jodi L. will call MYAS to see if we can have permission to park the ATV in the CPHS parking lot during the tournament the last 2 Sundays in Sept. And first 2 Sundays in Oct.
Jane will check with AL to see if we can set up the ATV at a car show.
Would like to do the same for the first few basketball games before announcing the winner at a home basketball game. Ticket pricing options: 1 - $10, 5 - $20
6. The Board nominated Kim Dudgeon as treasurer. We voted and Kim is now the treasurer.
