Champlin Park 71   Blaine 64

Rebel's Find their Touch

January 18, 2007

In another close battle between sectional and conference rival Blaine, Champlin Park came out victorious 71-64.

After a rough shooting night against Coon Rapids, the Rebels came out prepared to turn things around.  Calvin Nolte (11), matching his season high, lead all scorers with 22 (7-7 FG, 5-6 FT).  Pat Freeman (12) followed with 20 points and Keith Smith (12) with an additional 16.

Along with shooting the ball much better, the Rebels went 27-35 (77%) from the foul line and took care of the ball only turning it over 11 times, a nice improvement.

Champlin Park will now start preparing for a matchup against conference opponent Osseo which is currently in second place.  Osseo holds a record of 7-5 overall, 4-1 in the conference.  A win Tuesday in Osseo would be a significant victory for the Rebels and build upon their last 3 game record of 2-1.
