Rebels
Lose Again and Andover Cruises
By Sam Thurn - January 5th, 2007
The Rebels played on Friday night against Andover in the last of a three
game home stand. The game was never really in question as Andover jumped
to a quick lead and never looked back. As the team went into the half
already down 34-15, the Rebels started to play some players who are
usually on the bench.
The Rebels ended up losing 65-45 and now fall to 1-7.
Andover, however, improves to 5-3 and is currently second in the
conference. Pat Freeman (12) and Calvin Nolte (11) had good games again
with Freeman scoring 14 and seven
rebounds and Nolte scored 11 points and pulled down a season high 16
rebounds. As far as Andover, David Holcomb scored 22 points against the
Rebels defense leading Andover to the victory.
Now the Rebels season is quickly spiraling downward and they need a
spark to try to save it from disaster. If not, I'm afraid they may have
to start building towards next season.
