The Anoka Holiday Tournament presented an opportunity for
the Champlin Park
Rebels Boy's Basketball team to improve their 1-3 record. It ended up
that
the team did the opposite losing all three games.
The first game was against Rocori (8-1) and the Rebels lost 63-48. Pat
Freeman (12) scored 18 points and Keith Smith (12) added 15. The second
game
was closer when they lost to Forest Lake 49-47. Pat Freeman knocked in
25
points and Calvin Nolte (11) scored 9. In the third and final game for
the
Rebels in the tournament, it was all Freeman scoring 19 points with no
one
else over 6. The Rebels lost the game 45-55.
So now there record is 1-6 and the season could be quickly slipping
away.
Luckily for Champlin Park, they have plenty of games left to salvage the
season. This Friday they will be at home against Andover.
